We are Nigeria’s pioneer cargo bicycle manufacturing company focused on eliminating head-loading of goods/produce by rural poor (people at bottom of the pyramid) by designing and producing various cargo cycles which can be used to move both people and goods from place to place.
The norm is usually to carry harvested farm produce on heads, called ‘Headloading’, which is mostly done by Women as they are not able to afford other means of transportation. This practice leads to neck and spine injuries, and limited weight can be moved (usually less than 30kg). Headloading is usually the preferred method of moving these farm produce because it is low-cost, but isn’t a good way. So we were poised to solve this by producing affordable & clean (human-powered) energy cargo tricycles (SDG 7) which would lead to better working conditions, increased productivity (SDG 8) as more goods can be carried than previously could and reduced inequalities as women can earn more for their households (SDG 10).
